Dog Breed Series: All About your Pitbull Part 1

I’m Dr. Zonram Liao, founder of Wellnergy Pets, and I wanted to personally thank you for signing up for our newsletter, and thank you for joining the Wellnergy Pets Family! As a general practice veterinarian, I see how important pets are to people on a daily basis and understand that the bond with your pet is a sacred one. And I aim to protect that bond for as long as possible.

That is why I created Wellnergy Pets. My goal is to improve the lives of people and their pets by providing the best at-home pet care in the form of high-quality pet products and supplements.

As a thank you for joining the Wellnergy Pets Family, I am happy to provide you with a mini-series of tips and advice for how to best manage the health of your pet in our Wellnergy Pets Wellness Mini-Series!

I see that you have a Pit Bull, awesome! They are courageous, loyal, and obedient. You should also know that they are predisposed to a number of ailments. I’m happy to help you learn how to manage these problems early, so that we can help your Pit Bull maintain his/her optimal health:

Today’s Tip #1: Watch those Hips!

Pit Bulls and many other large breed dogs are predisposed to Hip Dysplasia. Hip dysplasia is an inherited condition leading to malformation of the hips where the ball and socket joint can be irregularly shaped, flattened, or deformed. The pieces do not fit well and this causes extra friction and excessive contact between the structures, causing the cartilage and bone structures within the joint to rub, grind, and wear out over time. Understandably, the results of this excessive wear and tear can lead to severe deterioration, arthritis, pain, and even loss of function over time.

The best way to manage and care for our Pit Bulls with Hip Dysplasia and arthritis is by controlling their weight, not letting them get too heavy, and with joint supplements. Early treatment with joint supplements containing Glucosamine, MSM, and Chondroitin is key in providing increased cartilage cushioning & joint lubrication, aiding in inflammatory & pain relief, keeping severe arthritis at bay, and for managing Hip Dysplasia long term. I personally recommend our Hip & Joint Care supplement for management of Hip Dysplasia, as it provides, in addition to the essential Glucosamine, MSM, and Chondroitin support, a powerful natural anti-inflammatory: New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel. An organic superfood, rich in Omega Fatty Acids, Glucosamine, and Chondroitin, New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel is critical to providing maximum aid for your Pit Bull’s hip and joint health.

Thanks again for subscribing! We’ll talk to you in the next installment of our Wellnergy Pets Breed Wellness Mini-Series!
